The effectiveness

It’s only the second week and there are tons of assignments to be done. School so far has been hectic for the first two weeks. We had to choose our CCAs, collect important documents and get used to locating our classrooms. I kind of prefer the poly curriculum as compared to the A-lvl curriculum.My parents were right. Thankfully I listened to them. I chose the polytechnic route instead of the JC route.

The tutorials and lectures are very interesting. Maybe the lectures aren’t that interesting but the tutorials are worth listening to.

I had radio and psychology class yesterday. In psychology, my classmates and I have learnt that we do make different perceptions of others.Perceptions can both be positive and negative. We might stereotype someone or maybe judge a person by first impression. Bottom line, communication is the most important.

Take for example. You see person A for the first time and you come into conclusion that A is a very arrogant and delusional person, therefore you do not want to know A. Eventually, the signals you sent will be received by A and he will assume that you do not like him thus so he doesn’t want to get to know you. In the end, no friendship is developed. However, once you get to communicate with A, you will realize that actually he is a very friendly and nice person. So, in conclusion, communication is effective.

To my juniors:

If you think that studying in poly is relaxing,

think again.

Tons of assignments to be done.

I can’t control myself but.. MASS COMMUNICATION IS A VERY EXCITING AND INTERESTING COURSE. I do not regret joining it. I love my course mates and my classmates.

An update . Finally..

Hello everyone. I am now in the school library updating my blog. Well actually,I was typing out some social psychology and communication notes but oh well , I still have today and tomorrow to read up the required pages. So school began two days ago. It was kind of awesome. My classmates, T110, bonded very well with each other. Luckily we are all open to each other, if not,I guess the class will be so stoned and boring. Lessons began on Monday. I had six hours of lectures in the Lecture Theatre at the basement of the convention centre. It was freaking horrible. Staying in the same Lecture Theatre for six hours wasn’t very fun. Lectures after lectures until class ended at four in the afternoon. I wasn’t exactly able to leave at four. I still had to bum around in school till six in the evening for my Japanese class.

Japanese class was quite interesting and a little too basic I thought. Worst still, my Jap teacher couldn’t pronounce my name. My name was pronounced as “Lu Xuan” rather than Rui xiang. This made me so embarrassed because I accidentally mistaken my name for the student before me who his or her name is Yu xuan.

School so far isn’t that bad. At least I am able to make many new friends and enjoy the curriculum. So far, I have a presentation to do which will have to be submitted on the third week of school. Alright everyone, I am running out of things to blog about. So therefore, I shall end my blog entry here now. Have a great time in school everyone!

Checked out the NP website and I am finally offically enrolled . I also decided to find out which semester I will be starting off with first and I got 1.2.

OH I can’t wait for school to begin. It’s just one week away now. Well, school unoffically begins for me on Thursday. However, I simply cannot wait to meet my new classmates and to start of school afresh. And the best thing is, Jeremy, and Jesley are in the semester as me. Now we are left with Yi ting and Yuxian. I hope they also get the same semester as us.

The Phantom of the Opera

Aziemah and I caught The Phantom of the Opera on Friday night after much anticipation.

The show was absolutely stupendously fascinating.The props, the dancing, the singing , the music, everything was wonderful. I have always wanted to watch the musical and finally I had the chance to.

The musical will leave you feeling amazed and speechless. It did have an effect on us. Aziemah and I left the theatre speechless and extremely elated.And knowing that our secondary school teacher was playing in the orchestra, added on to the euphoria level.

This musical deserves a standing ovation. The music was wonderful. The chandelier with the overture playing at the backgroud, rising up from the stage to the roof of the theatre was my absolute favourite part of the musical.

1. I guess all my close and good friends will know this, I always laugh and smile to myself for no reason. It happens randomly.

2. I love disturbing my cats. I love to rub their stomaches which they hate the most or to sneak up slowly behind them just to scare them.

3. I always poop before I leave home for school or to hang out. ( I guess it clears my bowel so as not to poop in public )

4. I tend to get emo then happy and then emo again. It’s literally like a cycle.

5. I always tend to stone when I am lethargic or am very bored.
